Re. No one wants to buy AMAT here at what may be a 10-15 PE on 98 1/2-99 numbers cause a big downturn follows. DAK, Nobody wants to buy AMAT until there is some assurance that there will not be a great deal of push-out in the coming months. The recovery we are currently in only began 2 qtrs ago. Once these cylcles begin they typically last 4-5 years, not 4-5 months. I really doubt this is the reason the MM's are not buying AMAT. Problems specific to the SEA debacle may in fact cause another downturn but IMO this is unlikely. BK
