Great work Eric but will they really print remain as "remaing" ? ;-))

Keep the heat on this disinformation stuff...its spreading .

Now that AAPL is dancing with one of the disinformation author-wolves maybe the "to remain" will be changed to "could have been":

techweb.com

Having MSFT IE in Mac OS 8 along Office 98 will help 2Q sales .

Regards,
Jim K.

PS: must be magical... when MSFT is reported on along with AAPL there is no hint of AAPL's pending demise ... just magic

Yeah, there is good news and bad news in looking at the board's holdings.

Bad news - they don't have any stake in the company! In a way it is a academic exercise and easy to walk away from in a second. I'm not going to say anything about how Larry is one of our leaders and his business just tanked - down 30% in a day (he personally lost 2 billion in a few hours).

Good news - I thought the situation was much worse. I thought Gil had a ton of stuff due him but he does not. Steve did a good job of ending Gil's term clean. Not only that he owes 5 million which is due and payable in 10/98. Also, with shares not tied up it encourages outside investors because the board does not have all the capital in their back pocket. There is no big-time golden parachute money to screw things up.

This time reminds me of how Dell stock was at around $9/share and people were talking about how it might be a good idea to buy the stock because when they auction off the property it might be worth more than $9. I remember that clearly because I was tempted to buy but the papers talked me out of it because the experts all said bankruptcy was due any day.

Apple is in a lot better shape than Dell was. All Apple has to do (in the business world) is show a profit. Doesn't matter how. With overhead is getting lower and lower it's bound to happen in the next quarter or two. Then every journalist will say "there might be something here" which is immediately followed by "I told you so - told you so - I said they might be something here...I had it right all the time."
