HI Kirk,

Keep in mind that Intc has said that for certain customers, they too would build customer's chips specifically for them.

In fact Intc now has susbstantialy overbuilt the brick and mortar fab, waiting demand to buy the semi equipment.

I think with Intc's advance capabilities - they could well be a formidable competitor to the Taiwanese fabs with a huge lead in technology capabilities and facilities that are already built.

Surely they have an interest to utilize the investment they've already built and paid for.

If intc took on Mu's 3d memory, Qualcomm's chips for phones, amd apple's application processors, Xilinx's fpga's - they'd be doing what they are best at and leave the design work to those who created it.When they land one maker of chips - the competitor would immediately follow.

Just build the best chips that's what Intc does.

Diversification is a great idea for intc to pursue.
