It's always a good idea to distinguish rumor from fact. Your language suggested you thought it was more than plausible.

"Doesn't mean they aren't true or completely plausible."
No matter how wild or "huge."

I put much more weight on the fact that iPhone activations made up more than half of all smartphone activations for Verizon in the most recently reported quarter. To do it in a quarter in which all but the last two weeks offered only the 5 and prior versions is all the more significant.
