Actually I know nothing about Greek, my sibling is the linguist. I was the first in the family not to take Latin and now I don't think it's offered in high schools. When I was at Harper & Row, our best seller was a book called "Word Clues" It came about when editors contacted a teacher in Montana whose students scored significantly higher on the verbal SATs and got her to write the book. It teaches students to look at the Greek and Latin roots to determine which choice would be more likely than not to be the answer.

It's well worth picking up for any students in your life about to take the SATs
