BAANF doesn't supply desktop software that one would purchase at a local store. It supplies inventory tracking and management sofware for large corps. Isn't this a little different -- especially in the longevity of the products, interoperability (lack of), service, etc?

Bilow, Re: Software Book Value.

I agree software will change over time. We were talking about Book Value of the S&P 500, etc. and when evaluating the indexes book value and comparing 97's with the 70's and 80's values, we have had software enter the mix where the book value from the software companies will bring down the book value of the index(s).
