The 5C is last years phone in a cheaper case, hence a bigger profit margin which frees up aluminum so they can make all the 5S phones they can sell, the 4S is the one before that hardly anyone buys so the Aluminum in it doesn't really interfere with 5S production. They SHOULD be comparing it to last year's ratio between 5 and 4S sales.
