<<<< There was no time in history, ever, when women had equality with men and were not subjugated until their societies became educated.>>>>

How about the Vikings. Women from these northern people have long been held in high esteem. Not the women they conquered of course, that's another story.

Furthermore, much of the wisdom we have is from these tribes - much of the legal wisdom. Even democracy itself! Which is the longest reigning democracy? Isn't that Iceland? The people came together in groups call ....."Tings". No central authority here.

"Wisdom comes from education, from knowledge."

I'd say wisdom comes from experience, not knowledge. The world has many very wise men with very limited educations.

I once thought that when someone wronged me, it was incumbent on me to not let it stand, to take retribution in some way. Experience, not knowledge, has taught me that the wrongdoer will write his own fate, and the best thing for me personally is to forget the wrongdoing and get on with my life. To dwell on the wrongdoing only works FOR the wrongdoer, and against me.
