Remember the issue is: is education a prerequisite for wisedom, or is wisdom organic?

My contention is, that by and large, the more education, the more wisdom.

The Vikings were among the worst barbarians to ever live. Not a lot of wisdom there.

I would further argue going back in history, the wisest large culture before modern times was easily ancient Greece. And no culture was anywhere near as educated as the ancient Greeks. No one even close.

Also think the Gaelic speaking peoples of Northern Britain and Ireland gave women independent status prior to the adoption of Roman Christianity in the 900's AD--at least my wife is reading a fictional historical series (based on fact) that portrays them as such.
