Thanks Dennis.

I get a daily Google Alert on California "High Speed" Rail. It makes amazing reading - especially how the proponents do not give a damn about the tenants of the bond issue they passed - a common thread these days with leftist pols. Fortunately a judge did read the law that was passed and shut the thing down.

As for California - if they want it - fine - just as long as THEY pay for it. I do not give a damn what they do with their own money.

Bob

PS: A judge has also ruled they must bankrupt themselves over their pensions.

The northeast regional Amtrak trains have an on-time history that is spotty at best, and downright annoying to most business travelers. For many, it really is worth paying more for better service. If you want to be sure of arriving on time, nothing beats the Acela.
