You should read the report [not Chippendale's] and you'd learn about the false track plugged into the Erebus DC10: <You don't have a clue of how the RNAV system in that aircraft operates. The "ground crew" had nothing to do with how the aircraft actually is navigated.. I suggest you study the actual avionics in the aircraft before you jump to conclusions. > That put the pilot in the wrong place, NOT flying up McMurdo Sound. I suggest you learn how the accident happened. You obviously STILL do not know about the orchestrated litany of lies.

<Plus a nearby U.S. Air Force RC 135 also recorded all of the communications.

You need to learn how this stuff works. Since your obviously not a pilot you just do not understand.
> My brother, an actual 747 captain at the time, did know precisely how this stuff works, unlike you who tinkers in a Cessna for fun and have learned a few checklists. I'll take his word over some guy in Cyberspace who doesn't back anything up, use reason or otherwise do other than try to pull rank as a winning argument. Sorry, but you need to come up with actual facts and reasoning.

Global Alarmism is an orchestrated litany of lies. You can read all about Climategate in Cyberspace if you want to learn about the deceptions and dishonesty of the Global Alarmists and Mann Made Warming. It's not conspiracy mumbo jumbo. <
Sorry bud but you just don't have a clue.

No proof from you on that subject except conspiracy mumbo jumbo.
> That's why Global Alarmists have lost the argument. That and ships stuck in Antarctica ice, as well as freezing storms all over the northern hemisphere. Snow in Egypt and Israel even. The claim that "our children won't know what snow is" has turned out to be a big joke. Akin to ice disappearing - ooops, the ships got stuck in it.

Stuck ships = shark jumped.

Peer reviewed science is good, I'll grant you that. But thinking for yourself is even better. <
I believe in "peer reviewed" science. It's as close to a good answer as we can get. If you can come up with a better process lets hear about it.
> Peer reviewed science provides the foundation on which to do your own thinking. I am very appreciative of the CO2 records from Hawaii, the ice cap measurements and myriad data input from swarms of scientists who enjoy recording and documenting the Cosmos so that we can better cope with the challenges to our survival that nature throws at us constantly.

What peer reviewed science cannot do is my thinking for me.

They think they are right that CO2 will doom the world. But they are operating on limited data and false premises. For example, one of their false premises is the precautionary principle [which is not always false and I used it because I was sick of people claiming that absence of evidence was evidence of absence]. Another false premise they use is "Earth was in Balance". Another is that their simplistic GIGO [garbage in - garbage out] computer models represent reality [which reality has shown they do not].

People are prone to accepting authority rather than thinking for themselves [such as you and aviation people in general and indeed most people who vote every election for more authority to be wielded over them]. Aviation people are trained to follow rules and do as they are told. It's a highly check-listed hidebound realm. They are only just figuring out that cellphones don't cause airliners to crash for God's sake. It took decades for them to figure out that tickets should be sold at auction rather than having flights at low loading.

Don't let a Global Alarmist do your thinking for you. That white stuff is frozen water. It's cold, not hot. Don't let a slogan do your thinking for you. That's a great slogan. You should adopt it as your own.
