Bush threw Scooter Libby under the bus just as Christie threw his senior aid under the bus.

So I can see the similarities. Except I never believed Bush was directly involvedin the Plame affair - exposing an undercover CIA operative as retribution for her husband's report was arsehole Dick Cheney's thing.

The real question is whether this goes higher in NJ. And I and most do believe that Christie was directly involved.

This Christie story is just going to get more and more scandalous as time goes on. It was pretty clear his office was sweating how to cover their tracks back in December. And you and I know its the cover-up that gets you more than the deed itself.

And now we have more bad news...

Feds investigate Christie's use of Sandy relief funds

By Charles Babington

Seeking to choke off a Republican rallying cry, the House's top Democrat has told colleagues that the party will not seek to impeach President Bush even if it gains control of the House in November's elections, her office said last night.
