They need to convince working (R)'s that they've been voting against their own self-interest for years. They're failing miserably. Completely agree. Meaning the Dems as the "they" above. But the hypocrisy of the Republicans and their media acolytes is rather stunning here. Deny reasonable funding to public education; educators find a way to perform their mission, not as well, but to some degree; then beat up on the educators for doing their job. And folk like Bread will believe it.
