You are right. I apologize to NFLD and all of Canada. I am not assuming that newfies are dense as you suggest. Here's proof that they are very savvy. The other day I was in the lumber yard when two newfie brothers came up to the counter. The clerk immediately spotted them as newfies. The brothers rolled out their plans to build a house. The clerk asked if he could help and they said "but of course ,bay, we need some 2X4's!" The clerk thought he would have a little fun and said, "we are all out of 2X4's but we have lot's of 4X2's." The brothers looked at their plans and confered for awhile. They came back to the clerk and said, the 4X2's will work. We'll take 'em." The clerk, a little surprised, asked, "fine, how long do you want 'em?" The brothers looked at each other and said, "quite a while sir, we're building a house." Is that a smart answer or what?
