Hi Wharf Rat; Still no predictions. The oldest reference cited (in this old paper which is from 2010) is from 1992:

"The prediction is old. In 1992 Manabe and coworkers, in running a changing CO2 experiment, noticed that the Antarctic sea ice cover increased with increasing CO2. They traced this to increased fresh water on the Antarctic ocean, which derived from increased precipitation -- snow. They also observed in their model that the Arctic ocean sea ice experienced a marked decline in thickness, and major loss of extent in the summer, but not so large a decrease in the winter. At the time they wrote, it was still being debated whether there were trends in the Arctic or Antarctic sea ice covers."

But the beginning of the rise in Antractic sea ice cover is 1948 to 1979 as is referenced in this link cited by your post (Zhang 2007):

This mechanism is the main reason why the Antarctic sea ice has increased in spite of warming conditions both above and below during the period 1979–2004 and the extended period 1948–2004.

So when they ran their experiments in 1992, they were already looking at sea ice increases from 1948. They were predicting a trend that was already 1992-1948 = 44 years old.

If you alarmist fools always knew warming oceans would cause more Antarctic sea ice, why did that shipload of fools just get stuck in the ice on a trip to document the disappearing sea ice? The fact is that you guys are just playing a game of whatever happens, we'll figure out a rationale to call it Mann-made global warming.

Just like how within the past decade, your fellow fools predicted winter snow would be a thing of the past. When the opposite happens, you just say we knew all along this Mann-made global warming would make more extreme winters with more cold and snow. And of course, it's always worse than we thought. Now will you let us wreck the energy industry our civilization is built on? Before it's too late. And the too late date is always just a few years in the future ... as in James Hansen saying we had only four years to turn things around in 2008. It's more than four years and now we've got 10 years to turn it around.

Why MSNBC viewers are ill-informed

Ed Lasky points us to this YouTube video that shows why MSNBC viewers are so ill-informed.

Andrea Mitchell is interviewing a congresswoman about the NSA surveillance programs when all of a sudden, the network cuts away for some breaking news; Justin Beiber's appearance in court.

The video has more than 2.5 million hits in less than 2 days.

MSNBC can't get much lower ratings, but they're trying. Their continued defense of Obama and Obamacare is not only losing them credibility, but viewers as well.

They should pull the plug on this turkey of a network or change the focus back to news. Even biased news reporting is better than what they're doing now.

CNN deserves mention too. Their Rachel Maddow clone just excoriated conservatives for not giving more Oscars to blacks. Liberals are the only people dumb enough to think conservatives run Hollywood.
