The selloff is not limited to OZON! I really believe the problem lies in the massive moving of money from all small caps possibly inspired by the article in Business Week dated December 15. The problems in small caps perhaps brought under public scrutiny initially with the problems with GYMM are I believe causing what I call the Lemming effect. I believe that OZON was unfairly caught up in the small cap correction and I think at these prices we may see day traders soon! I really believe that OZON has the solution to a problem that many politicians are reluctant to face...when they invariably do just think of all the free advertising potential that exists in having that solution! It amazes me that none of capitol hill has picked up on this already! As far as the delisting possibilities in NASDAQ, I believe that there will be hundreds of reverse splits in a lot of companies. I seriously doubt that OZON would have to do that. After the turmoil all the big money will return to NASDAQ in a hurry! They will because NASDAQ has made them lots of money throughout the years. They will not forget that and they will want it to continue. There is nothing like NASDAQ in my opinion.
We shall see......

Cents

According to the reports I've seen, the focus of delisting is on those companies who don't file finanacial reports with the SEC. Ozon does file, unlike many other mini and micro caps.

Anyone notice the editorial page article in yesterdays WSJ on the benefits of irradiation? Someone with better grasp of the facts might consider writing the WSJ about problems with irradiation and available alternatives. A letter to the editor would be nice. Of course, I've also seen the WSJ publish competing views in article form. Perhaps a job for Melinda, Bill Stoddard or the new guy Mr. Lakis to issue a thoughtful response to the WSJ?

Peter: Glad to see you're posting and welcome aboard. Let me offer you, and others, some info regarding possible delisting. I am quoting from Cyclopss' 1997 Annual Report (hot off the presses). I quote specifically from the Letter to Shareholders from Bill Stoddard:

"Finally, it should set many minds at ease that your Company is no longer on the 'endangered' list. As of the date of this letter (Nov. 11, 1997), we are in full compliance with NASDAQ 'Small Cap' requirements. Further, with the financing mechanisms now in place, the Company is poised to meet the new net tangible asset requirements which NASDAQ will put in place on February 28, 1998."

Obviously the stock price meets these new requirements (minimum of $1) and, the Company feels that the warrants attached to the recent private placement of stock (Reg.D offering) will be exercised, otherwise they would not have registered them with the SEC (S-3 filing).

Also, Peter, I couldn't agree more with the "OFF TOPIC" suggestion you made. I too want to quickly weed out OFF TOPIC posts. Good suggestion. And, finally, are you the same Peter who wrote the letter to the editor of the NY Times? If so, that was GREAT! Thanks. Dr. Amy

Just heard CNBC say they have an interview at 2 P.M. with a NASDAQ official about "the big vote today" concerning small cap listing requirements. Hope the issues are clarified. Thanks to Amy, Cents and R. Battman for their informative post regarding this issue. I have heard various accounts of what this could entail, but haven't had a chance to research it extensively. Even if this action did in some way affect OZON, future news and publicity should spark investor interest again soon.

Better post so you at least have fifteen minutes to check the interview. I do not endorse using CNBC as an exclusive source of information, but this segment might offer some clues to what is going on in the last few days. They have mentioned this NASDAQ vote when I have tuned in briefly the last few days.

Peter

P.S. Amy, I am not the fellow who wrote to the New York Times, but it was a great letter!
