Hi jlallen; I think the situation for Steyn is considerably better than that. It's not enough for Mann to "prove" that he didn't manipulate data (even though proving such a thing is essentially impossible). He has to prove that Steyn did not believe that Mann manipulated the data but instead claimed he did maliciously.

Your further comment that Mann's fraudulent claim to be a Nobel winner is worth nothing in a Court of law is incorrect as would be any proof that he manipulated data, etc.

I never claimed that Mann was a Nobel winner.
