Yes, and with all cash deals and young families, they will probably stay here for awhile.

I've heard many major cities see a similar boom with NY benefiting more from Russian money while West Coast cities more from Asian money. Odd, but I heard Portland real estate hasn't recovered to the same extent as Bay Area real estate and the VC market there has about dried up, probably related. Everyone seems to want to move to big cities so we get the Silicon Valley to SF corridor joining London, Hong Kong and New York as major world money centers.
