Indeed. And don't forget the new Bay Bridge in SF used steel from China and the bolts snapped... big safety issue and cost overruns. Many of the bridge critics, including mechanical/civil engineering professors at UC Berkeley, worry there are more issues. Stories coming out constantly about how safety critics were silenced to keep the project moving.... Probably as much corruption in Taxifornia for these projects as in China for their building boom.
