Steve,

Please get off out high horse about our obligation, blah blah blah. If you would just once understand the cultural differences we have here in the US you'd know why people that are not your color (white), don't vote. Do some research on Hispanics, for example, and you'll see why so many are registered yet do not go out and vote.

Go ahead, have the last word like you did our previous posts today.

Choice? If only there was a real choice?

<<Whose fault is that?>>

The system. It costs money to run for office. The Senate is the multi-millionaires club. A few years ago Tom Daschile, the ex-senator from South Dakota was the only senator who wasn't a millionaire.

Fat chance the average person will be represented when they don't have the money to run.

Scolding the people who don't vote isn't going to get them to vote, Steve. Let's face it, half of America thinks it makes no difference - and they've got a point. It takes a truly failed president like Bush to get people to the polls, and that only lasts for a brief time.

I don't see the Obama presidency as getting people to say, "YEAH! Voting MATTERS! I'm going to do it every time from now on."

To me, America is looking more and more like a failed state, running on superpower momentum, accumulated wealth and fumes.
