thread: KLIC reported this morning it is experiencing Korean pushouts (rescheduling to later quarters).

This comes only a week or so after announcing a big Korean order. A couple of weeks ago I called their IR and they told me they were on track to meet estimates for the Dec. quarter and that they had experienced no indications of pushouts.

KLIC says it won't meet estimates for the Dec. quarter due to this.
This killed KLIC's stock today, down from 25 to 18 - setting a new 52 week low, although still a lot better than the July 1996 price around $10.

I think it's just a matter of time before we learn of Korean pushouts at other semi equip vendors. I wonder if KLIC got hit first due to shorter lead times?

BearBull,

I think you can average down starting at 25, but be prepared for a fall to 15. Watch EGLS, SVGI, AND UTEK. They are approaching book and bottomed in 96 at 12, 14, and 14 respectively. AMAT bottomed at 11, but further EPS downgrades will be necessary to get there.
