Check what Ken Owen, vice president of business development at Tpro (TAVA) said in FRONT PAGE article in latest Electronic Engineering Times!
The article titled "Year 2000 may hold embedded time bomb"

I had much better understanding of embedded system problem and Tpro position after reading this article.

Valuing growth by acquisition: At least some (older) TPRO'ers likely used real estate to grow their personal wealth. In youth, you used "Nothing Down" and "O.P.M." to buy that first duplex. You had negative cash flow and used your tax refund to catch up. Just as you came up for air, you used "Creative Financing" to grab a triplex. Your personal capitalization stank by now, but you floated a 3rd lien to get the 4-plex. By now, banks slammed the door in your face. Then yuppies moved into the neighborhood and threw money at your properties. Suddenly you had cash, lots of it. And you knew the game from every angle. So you bought the industrial park. Now you've got great clients with 5-year leases and options to renew. Your capitalization's great. "Et tu, Topro".

Hear! Hear!
Investment 101 is to look at management. While many of us can
not judge management but you,Skippard and Cheryl are good advocates
for us.
Reviewing the conferce call and the financial statemnts we can
go beyond the current numbers i.e the rising G&A due to 2Yk as
well as the loss of income in the transfer of engineers away from
their core business; and the ability to aquire more companies to
their core business etc. etc. The supply chain management as you
mention is doable also.
To the "value investor" I guess all this doen't count and thus
the controversy.

I highly value your knowledge and opinions on TPRO. But you can't expect anyone to blindly accept statements like:

The y2k will add to TPROs current growth by 10,000 % or more next 3-4 years.

What assumptions are you making to arrive at this conclusion?

No, the y2k issue will not end on Jan 1, 2000. But it will end sometime within a few years thereafter.

I haven't questioned the quality or integrity of management and I accept your assessment. I agree that management credibility is very important.

Finally, can you elaborate on the supply chain management connection. Those companies provide decision support software optimizing production based on supplier and customer info. How does that relate to what TPRO does?

P.S. Assuming I could even get in the door to meet management, my modest capital base wouldn't justify the expense of such a trip. Does that affect my right to post?
