Those analysts were projecting $55 for FY2013 in October 2012.

OMG, those estimates were from a whole year before FY13 earnings was announced?
Please provide an URL as I have done, I find that people do not always remember correctly.
If it was $55 it would not surprise me. After all, what was known at that time was annual earnings of:
2010 $15.15
2011 $27.68
2012 $44.15
Seems to me that $55 might well be a reasonable estimate for that period.

The analysts' consensus estimate of $39.40 that I gave you was pretty much right on the button compared to
the actual FY13 $39.75 as far as I am concerned. A WHOLE LOT closer than Ryan's assertion that "...the
very real probability that their earnings will contract", that he offered without anything to back it up.
I am against statements like he made because that is how rumors start, and a stock price will decrease.

The consensus didnt see the turn coming then and I doubt that they would see it coming if another downturn happens in FY2015.
I'm more certain that they wouldn't see an increase coming from new product categories, especially now that their expectations have lowered.
