One of the interesting thing about your response, Steve, is that you are arguing the classically mislabeled position of post modernism. That is, the notion that since post modernism argues there are no moral universals beyond history and culture, that it therefore argues all moral positions are equivalent. It does not, at least not as written by Richard Rorty and others.

Just because a group or cause invokes a moral claim (almost all do), that doesn't mean we all are required by some sort of logical authoritarianism to say it's equal to every other moral claim. We all agree it's nonsense. The moral claim of the Klan members, and you can bet they make them, is not the equivalent of the moral claim of MLK. Once one cedes this notion, then we are all clearly in the business of making judgments about moral claims.

That's all I'm doing. And you are also doing the same. Though not admitting it. Best I can tell.
