Very true. Some on the right are for immigration reform and/or the right to choose just as you say some on the left are for more personal responsibility and fiscal conservativism. It is too bad they two parties can't work together without using any compromise as an excuse in the next election to get the one doing the compromising tossed out for a more extreme candidate. Until voters wake up and reward compromise rather than ideologues, we're getting the crappy excuse for politicians we elect/deserve.
