WOW !!

You need to stay out of that area !!

That reminds me of Escape from New York.

Put a big wall around that neighborhood and shut off the electricity at night and let em kill each other off.

Hi Kirk, I think this country is evolving into two segments. Pockets of prosperity, and larger pockets of stagnation and poverty.

cities that can't afford to pay the police $100K to $200K a year plus all the pensions until order is restored?
The police around here can only dream about those kind of salaries. The going rate for a city cop or county cop is $12.00 an hour and no free donuts. (no donut shops) .
My son in law is a city cop nearby. He does get a fair amount of overtime and also has a 401k plan.

I believe that top 25% (income wise) would prosper more if the lowest 25% got a raise (through increasing the minimum wage). Poor folks spend every dime they can get, and boost the local economy. The very wealthy spend their money in foreign countries, admiring the tourist traps featured in National Geographic.

When all levels of our society prosper, we do better as a country.

Using returned veterans to police our cities has some merit. I also feel that the military should rehire some disabled veterans to do the thousands of military tasks that do not require four limbs.
