I just spoke to Jordan Goldstein at the Financial Relations Board. They are an outside PR firm hired by Valence. She said that there is no news to explain the recent price of the stock and that 1Q98 is still alive and well for production. Lev Dawson is "on site" and "getting up to speed". Expect no announcement from Valence before the end of the year. She said that management is well aware of stockholder frustration but has not taken her advice to make a public statement sooner than later. I noted a certain amount of frustration over this aspect. She is in the process of collecting comments from investors and stated that Valence "wants to hear all commnets". She will pass along my reccomendation that Valence issue a letter to shareholders. As far as the comments of others that they have spoken to upper management she said that she personally was skeptical as the company is acutely aware that such conversations could be interpreted as being unlawful and would put them at risk for another class action sharholder litigation. If you have comments you can contact her at 415/986-1591.
