Robert: Well, as much as I'd like to hear from mgmnt I can't say I'm surprised by their stance. There are a lot of companies out there who make a policy of not commenting on the trading patterns of their stock. This isn't to say mgmnt isn't concerned(I'd love to be a fly on the boardroom, or in L.D.s' N.I. hotelroom, wall right about now. More like, "Hey, we're busy doing the business at hand. We can't help it if the Street's swayed by day to day trading variations." This usually comes back to bite them later should they go cup in hand looking for monies from that same Street.

Meanwhile, VLNC's bounced off $4; went to $4 3/8 and now looks to be heading back down; currently trading $4 3/16 x $4 5/16. It could break $4 given its current negative momentum. I wouldn't be surprised by this given the general market direction today. Woooo weeeee there's a lot of murder going on out there right now. Welcome to the Asian Flu......... You know, a market news letter I read about 1 year ago predicted that there'd be a blowoff eventually, and it'd be precipitated by troubles in Asia. It look's like they might be right.

Hope everyone has their helmets on.....INCOMING!!!!

John~

Robert,

Thanks for the info. I've been lurking and am very long VLNC. I will assume that you mean by, "on site", that Dawson is at the Northern Ireland site. I think I either read or heard the same thing elsewhere. I, for one, would rather Dawson do what he is doing, which is being on site getting up to speed trying to motivate people to get the things done that have to get done to begin production, than have him sitting in Neveda, reading over PR copy to send out to the nervous investers, which I might add includes myself.

The company has consistently stated that they are on track to produce in 1Q98, period. There has been no evidence to the contrary, NONE. I would like to use this opportunity to purchase more shares at an incredible price, if I can find some extra cash. (Maybe the Holiday gift giving may have to wait a month, either that or I can use my credit cards, talk about margin.) But seriously, if this company were a buy at 9, and 8, and 7 etc., than it is a screaming buy at 4.5. I guess you have to figure out if you're a Lemming or not, per Warren Buffet.

Good Luck all in 1Q98.

Jeff
