When does the fun return? You obviously weighed your options, evaluated your situation, and did what you believe necessary. Perhaps when the dust settles, you'll get back in. I am holding, having no great anticipated need in the near future for extra cash. I'd sell a questionable company in a shaky market (like now) but not this one.

My blurred vision sees several months of wallowing for ADPT and other techs, until warmth returns to the East. Also, I think the Iraq problem is not resolved--we could witness a US military response of some significant proportions, depending upon Saddam's actions over the next two weeks. That wouldn't help matters. Who could have predicted the Asian crisis? What can be predicted are more earnings warnings and disappointments resulting from both the Asian currency weakness and its economic chaos. Expect some gloomy days. But the sun will shine again. It is only my opinion.

Good luck

Charles hope you're wrong, I bought more today. As far as TA goes, I think you have to throw that out the door in this market. Believe me I feel your pain & can relate to the decision trauma. The only solice I find is that both rounds of selloff seem to be at fairly low volume, & there was much high volume buying in adpt at the recent low. I'm betting that 30% off the recent high is way overdone on this company. The way it was holding in the 50's, I thought they may have been getting ready for another split announcment. Actually, several companies I follow just took a 30% hit to adjust for perhaps a 5% Asian income impact IMO. I'm hoping the volume shows the investors are hanging in there. Being that we're in a viscious circle where we have a down day, so foreign markets react & go down, then we opened down etc, I'm hoping Greenspan may even have to lower rates as early as the meeting next Tuesday so stabilize this global mess.

good luck to us all,
Tom
