Paul,

There was certainly no implicaton on my part that you do. Just joking about my recent lack of success.

As for yard work, if it comes with room and board, I will be on your door step with my yard tools if Intel reaches 62 and AMAT reaches 19.

I had a scare today. Bothered me more than the tech give away does.

I am cleared for naked Puts with my broker. To do that you need a certain amount of $$$ with them. Well several days ago I had that amount, now it is below that amount.

I have Puts in AMAT I wanted to roll forward to January so I am not Put the stock. By doing so, I not only don't get Put, I should make close to $750 for the month for making the phone call and selling a little more time value.

At first, the broker said I couldn't cause I was now below the necessary $$$ level. I was slightly irritated. They would have left me in a position of being Put $8 above the current market price, or dishing out 8K to buy the Put back. Finally, after sufficient wining, crying, complaining and argueing, I got an exception.

Sheez, they made me W*** 10 minutes of that $750. These market corretions are hell.

(avoided the "w" word for your benefit.)

Back to Intel:

What will Merced's competition be when it arrives? Will it be processors from Sun and IBM?

From your past Intel experience, when does the market typically start to value upcoming product introductions such as merced?

take care,

Lee
