Don't want to be the one vote that costs the D's the presidency. Almost any Dem, on the worst day of his/her life, is better than the best R on the best day. If they lose the second term, it's their fault, not mine.

Wharf Rat lives in CA, where he can vote his beliefs without taking any risk, since he KNOWS the sane majority of people in CA will vote (D), so his vote for Bernie Sanders will cause no more harm than my vote for Ralph Nader did when I lived there.

But, anyone that lives in a swing state doesn't have that luxury. Not only does a vote for a fringe candidate not help the (D)'s win, it allows a regressive (R) vote to count.

The lesser evil is STILL lesser, and should get your vote, if it matters.
