T is rumored to be buying TCGI, described by Yahoo as follows:

"Teleport Communications Group, Inc. is a local exchange carrier which provides integrated local telecommunications services, primarily over fiber optic digital networks. The Company operates digital networks in 48 metropolitan markets. For the nine months ended 9/30/97, total revenues increased 91% to $343.9 million. Net loss increased from $72.1 million to $150.1 million. Revenues reflect increased market penetration. Loss reflects costs associated with expansions."

I don't have an impression how that affects the T/ATHM agmt, other than to note that the two relationships are consistent with each other.
