what was the point of that ? White flint is in a super high tax area because of 100% democrat control in montgomery county. that's why the mall went under, the owners are gonna turn it in to condos, sell them and get out of dodge and have other people pay the outrageous property tax. the dems are turning montgomery county into detroit, like they do with everything.

just another in a long line of liberal failures, it's what they do

Ted, I saw that article. I spent a good portion of my growing years at that mall. Most of the shops there were too pricey for a young kid like me, but they had excellent movie theaters and a great computer store called "Software Etc." Later on, they had Dave & Busters.

However, the writer of that Gawker article is wringing his hands too much. Really, these closed-down malls are just "relics of greed, consumerism, and an antiquated way of life"? I'll remember that the next time traffic slows down on my local highway because people are waiting at the exit ramp to the local mall during weekends and the holiday season.

As for White Flint Mall, I don't know why it's closing down. Maybe it's because there are just too many damned malls in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
