I was partner in about 40 rooming houses. And stayed in a bunch of them. You know the secret to running them? No alcohol at all. Period. Pot smokers seldom cause any trouble.

I worry about that issue as well as that they may become the rooming houses of the past that over time slowly run down. in snohomish, wa, there is a cluster of houses known as "soap suds row," because in the days of logging (long long time ago), the people who lived in soap suds row did the laundry for the workers...or something like that...anyway, now they are low-income or senior housing with a long wait list... cdn3.assets.sites.launchrocketship.com or if that link does not work...go here... hasco.org
