You'all's experience caused me to think of MCOM as a way cool investment years ago. Needless to say I am less than enthusiastic about how it turned out....and I lay that at the feet of Bob Dilbert. It seemed to me that a logical way to start was to get market presence via promotion in the beginning. If that's what they're doing now - great! Your description of using it for near full motion video plus audio, brings up great promise, and concern. A customizable roaming competitor for regular broadcast radio, seems to me to be a killer app (the tractor thing that causes you to spring for the extra cost of the modem) However, what happens if everyone is on it all the time, ie. used like a radio? And what if you start using it in lieu of a cell phone?....internet phone with various base stations setup to hook to land lines. I would assume that bandwidth would be saturated rather quickly. Question: with your current Ricochet, do you get unlimited usage? Dan
