This stock is still my largest holding and it sure has been volatile. The PCB makers all seem to sell at lower PEs than the assemblers. Hdco price is in line with CCIR which will do 1.50-1.55 in 98 and also PGTZ. I took part in conference call and specific numbers were discussed which I posted on the HDCO thread. A 20% figure was used as an "at least" figure along with 800 mill in sales and increased operating margins of at least 1 point to 12.5%. The backplane business in now 11% of sales and grew at 15% last quarter. Their bookings were 183 mill as of CC and they indicated it would ship in this quarter. Paul K has owned this stock and knows it well also. Hicks Muse has a private company which I think is larger now than HDCO and the BEI people I talked to indicated it may go public in 1998. But from my contact with HDCO, they seem top quality .Malaysian Plant should be breakeven now.
