Given all the different proposals for sanctions etc etc, and the apparent disunity re approach amongst EU / OECD outfits, the continuing developments should serve well as a test case for theory against practice, and in any case the story should be a long story given that putin is relatively young. Russia seems to be playing out a thought-out script, even as it may be just reacting. NATO / USA seems to be in disarray even as they may be playing out a script. 2014 has certainly been eventful ytd. The year is still young.
