During the last few days Russia and their hired tugs tried to foment unrest in the mostly ethnic Russian Oblasts without great success, like Kharkov, Lughansk Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk etc., This was Russian leadership biggest mistake and misreading of the actual political situation on the ground. No one is eager to join a failed economic country with a team of kleptomaniacs at the helm which has nothing new to offer compared to a country in a situation that there is hope for a better government and probably financial and other help form the EU and US. The concept of highly right-wing fascist parties taking over Ukraine is another myth of the uninitiated after all, both France and Greece and to some extent Spain and Italy as I know, have far right wing fascist parties even some represented in their parliament and they ARE EU members. I would not vouch for Japan as a pacifist parliament. The issue of Crimea is an issue of very stupid pride, some heritage - living like the Czars etc., and the mere fact that Stalin kicked out or outright murdered a big part of the local population and transplanted ethnic Russian who in their majority received or stolen land or are former families that served in the Russian Navy at the time that the Black Sea fleet was of some significance. Today this navy has many unready battle ships but still their floating on the seas makes a great intimidating impression <smile> .. but that is all. Form a strategic point of view Russia would be better off moving the Black Sea fleet to a new place along his long shores on the Black Sea and much more naval suitable places between Anapa and Sochi which will be strategically much more advantageous as it will be hidden form the high Caucasian mountains on one flank and difficult to exercise an undetected aerial attack in total contrast to Sevastopol which is open to all directions. But as usual, arrogant idiots surround themselves with other arrogant idiots, and therefore think they are very smart.
