B4 1/20/09, parties compromised to govern this country..se the love affair of Tip and the Gipper.. That night, one party decided compromise was a dirty word, and, as a concept, was dead. It was decided that this president would be allowed to do nothing. It's not something the Dems have ever done, and it is totally un-American, and undemocratic. His election transformed the way we govern, from a democracy to England's parliamentary method, where the opposition votes as one. Will it be any better under President Clinton? Not unless Dems get 60 seats in the Senate and about 220 in the House.
