Hey, I heard, the US "borrowed" ~300 tons of German gold several years ago and when Germany recently asked for its gold, the US was unable to return it and the US asked for an extension of several years' time to come up with the gold. Huh!
Times and circumstances have changed: Truth be known, the US is now the world's greatest debtor.
I leave you to work out the implications of that.
