CJ,
It has a lot more to do with many blacks see the NBA as one of their only shots at making it. So they work at it very hard.

That's an answer that begs the question. If the NBA wasn't so highly represented by black players, other black people wouldn't see the NBA as "one of their only shots at making it."

Besides, why not baseball?

a natural talent

So when natural talents are identified by race, as you described, how is that not racism? You're a racist.

So why would they only see the NBA as the only shot at "making it". Making what, millions a year? Is that making it? What about professionals in every other sector of society that make $75K a year or $100K a year. How about truck drivers? How about construction workers and those that work trades as carpenters and welders? Seems to me you are saying that blacks don't see that as making it. They aren't interested in applying hard work for a meager $75K or $100K job. They need a multimillionaire job, and that's the only way of "making it". I actually think you are onto something. Blacks seem to be all about greed. They don't want a job, they want to be rich. Look at drug dealing. Drug dealers aren't in it to make $38,000 a year. They are in it for greed to make millions like NBA players make millions. There are millions of hard working blacks that work trade jobs or labor jobs everyday because they know that no matter how much work they put into it they aren't going to make it as engineers or physicists or chemists or mathmaticians.
