Those who claim that marijuana is less harmful are lying through their teeth, and I don't need to smoke that shit to know. Ten, the above is not a factual statement. It is not even close to being true. >> Drug companies are required by law to tightly control their products that are classified as narcotics. The amount of regulation here is very significant, and the drug makers themselves are very sensitive to the consequences of not obeying both the letter and the spirit of the law. That is sort of true. But they could certainly do more. We are currently experiencing an epidemic of addiction to Rx drugs that makes the heroin and cocaine problems of past years look like nothing. These drugs ought to be manufactured, packaged and distributed in a way that prevents abuse. Talk to your wife about the downsides of ZoHydro. This is a drug that, if allowed to go on the market, will kill many, many people. We already have Fentanyl which has killed many people and is still killing people. These are not street drug addicts (google Michael Tata). ZoHydro is bound to be far worse. These are serious problems and the victims are not people who are ill-mannered or misbehaving. Recently, a photo of a man my age, who I knew, appeared in our local paper. He had coached my son in baseball years ago, successfully ran a business here in town, had three kids, nice house, good looking wife, everything. He had been arrested for forging a script for Oxycontin. As it turned out, he had suffered an injury, and in the course of treatment had become addicted. I knew this guy and he was not a piece of crap. He was an ordinary person with a medical problem that made him behave strangely out of character. Medical problem. Not a behavior problem. The problem with a lot of you guys is that you treat drug addiction like a legal or a moral issue, when in fact is a medical issue. You do it out of ignorance, so I understand. >> Besides, how do the drug companies benefit when their narcotics are stolen? They're not making a profit off of the stolen goods.
