Well, if you dare to read all the posts (at least the first 300 posts or so) on this thread. You should find that SHVA has always been rumored to be takeover target. SHVA was rumored to be acquired by CSCO when the stock was trading around 50 late last year. And ASND was said to be bidding for SHVA too... However, SHVA declined all offers and chose to remain independent.

Even if NT does offer ~20 for SHVA, I really don't see how the deal can go through.

Dave people at Lucent believe NT is about to gobble up SHVA. Any chance they are only hearing about Shiva,s royalty agreement and not a takeover. The stock doesn't act like a takeover it acts like more red ink is about to spill. Tax loss selling or otherwise SHVA better be looking to restructure or 8 bucks will become normal ground. This stock is trading at 0 Premium. 5 book with 3.5 in cash. Whatever happened to the pioneers of netgear?
Cabletron another disaster Du Jour would probably be abetter fit for Shiva because cs doesn,t have a remote access product. Dave please remind me as to why I'm still long too many shares???
