I've long thought a potential solution is to get a democrat for president whose run a successful business starting out bussing tables and washing cars as I and many others have done would be the trick. Trouble is, I think that is a mutually exclusive proposition.
Kirk, the last president to run a successful business was Harry Truman and before him it was Herbert Hoover.(Hoover who stated life as an orphan in Iowa, was a mining executive in China, Australia, and Russia)

Obama....did a number real world jobs...He was a community organizer in New York and Chicago.

Lets look at some previous candidates and Presidents to how they fared in the real world.. And lets see how many tables they ever bussed or cars they ever washed.
Romney....He did have a car elevator and grew up as a wealthy brat in Michigan.
Bush 41 and 43.......they were not into washing cars or waiting on tables.
Reagan....never had much to do with hard times or the less fortunate.
Carter and Eisenhower. and McCain ..never worked a day in the real world. In fact Eisenhower, his father and his grandfather were military career men.
LBJ.....was wealthy all his life as was Kennedy and Roosevelt. No bus boys here.

So the only working Presidents with real world work experience are Obama, Truman, and Hoover

Candidates for the Presidency need more than than tip money from car washes or waiting tables to get the next level. Having millionaire parents helps.
