I agree. The only way to stop it is treat it like a 12-step problem and get the sides to admit that THEY have a problem first... we won't move on until it happens. I have liberal friends and relatives that literally slobber and spit if anyone in the room says something nice about the last President Bush just before they go into a lying rant about how dumb he is... I usually ask how many fighter planes are they qualified to fly then move on... Similarly, some (most?) on the right can't see any good in what Obama has done or tries to do. Like a 12-step program, we may need to hit bottom first. You'd think the financial meltdown was bottom... but maybe having better than half the country on some form of public assistance, when you add in all the credits, Obama helping the middle class pay for health care, food stamps, etc... it may be far larger...
