<<I am sure that's what Mac will do with their Rhapsody if they are smart.>>

That's how Apple will recover -- by turning the Mac into an appliance. They'll lose all loyalty from the Apple developer community, but I think they're all shipping Windows versions by now anyway.

I would guess that only MSFT will be barred as a result of unfairly using its monopoly power by forcing computer makers to market IE ahead of competitors such as NSCP. They are now getting their hands slapped.

John it simply will not be permitted,I.E. will not be allowed to be
an integrated part of the OS,that is it will not be permitted to "vanish into the OS"---now I add to this that if MSFT were to win their
appeal in the courts the GOVT. is already prepared to go to the
Congress to specifically pass a law that would stop I.E. being a part
of the OS.And if you don't know already the prevailing view in Congress is to stop MSFT from having such a dangerous monopoly.Max

Last I checked, Apple doesn't have a consent decree with the Government. Microsoft does. Apple also doesn't have 90% market share. Microsoft does. That means that the Feds can do and may want to do things to Microsoft that that can't do or don't want to do to Apple.
