Chaz, I and two other people on this thread have given you more than five examples of SMFT lowering prices. Studio itself is an example of the lowering of at least three products. Comparing Studio to C++ compilers is like comparing a tire to a whole car. What happened to InterDev, VB, FoxPro, and all of the other stuff. There is Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Fox Pro, Encarta, Front Page, InterDev, compression software , low end enterprise OSs, low and mid tier DB's, I will not bother to go on. I just named 14 catagories off the top of my head. Of course you will/can name a few categories where absolute prices have been raised, but in relative inflation adjusted terms, they have dropped prices across the board. I will gladly admit when I am wrong (that means I would have learned something that I previously didn't know), just prove me wrong first.
