Meta...your points are well taken.....but if we did not have Federal Reserve would our currency look like The Russian Ruble? Constantly depreciating to almost worthless. There probably some manipulation by by big money interests (Banks), but money buys influence in the USA. Many of the past Fed Chairs, have come from the banking industry so there is an inbreeding process in place. I say leave the Fed alone, but break up the too big to fail banks.
