For me, the Rs have gotten worse.......more abrasive, angry and aggressive; not better. And they have shown Obama virtually no respect. Its appalling. And yet you're pissed because you think Obama should be working harder at getting along with these racist hypocrites. I don't get it. Can you explain to me why you feel that way? He is the president. He is the only one who can get it started. It certainly ain't starting with Pelosi, Reid,Wasserman-Shultz, Waters ect all as angry and partisan hateful people as the leadership on the right with the possible exception of Boehner from the little I see. On the left Durbin and Gillibrand I really like need more like them. But rather than develop personal friendships with the GOP leadership on a human level in his free time he felt it was more important for the country to spend his free time in the early evenings with his daughters the past five plus years. You are right no president has ever been disrespected as this one it is not even close and I hate the current GOP as much as or maybe even more than you do for it. But has there also been a president presiding in a period as divisive as this one either? It takes two to tango just because some southern GOP elected officials are nasty racists doesn't mean you close off communications to everyone of that demographic. Geez if I lived that way and closed off everyone of a certain demographic cause of insults directed at me I'd have written off EVERY demographic by now..
