ECB: European Central Bank Vice-President Vitor......
23-Mar-2014

ECB: European Central Bank Vice-President Vitor Constancio said Saturday the central bank is not going to be introducing thresholds into its forward guidance, saying they wouldn't be useful, see 16:40 wire story. "We are not
thinking about changing forward guidance to have any thought of thresholds because we think that would not be useful," Constancio said in remarks at the International Research Forum on Monetary Policy at the Federal Reserve. He pointed out that the ECB reinforced its forward guidance at its latest policy meeting "by linking the forward guidance to with the total closure of the slack in the economy."
